Condé Nast Traveler App Reviews

Very glad to see CN Traveler finally has an app for their magazine. Its a lovely feature for subscribers and one Ive come to expect after the successful launch of others such as GQ. The details and clarity are wonderful and my only complaint is that it doesnt yet have landscape functionality, only portrait. Also, so far only the Hot List is available, but they note that soon monthly issues will be available on the app. I look forward to it!

I am a subscriber to the magazine. I am supposed to have free access to the digital copy. After downloading the app and registering, I found the only part of the app that worked was the "buy a subscription" or "buy an issue". Therefore, there is no free access to anything.The "tech support" is by email question only. I am using an iPad 2 and I have the most recent software. T Dont buy the paper subscription with any expectation of getting the digital version free.

Unable to reset my password (says cannot connect even though Im clearly connected). Nowhere to get support; link just dumps you into the website which has nothing. Aw well, guess Ill dump it.

Terrible app, you cant select or search text, the articles arent contained in a single section (and theres no table of contents ). The pages are clipped top and bottom by the margins and the layout and text size require you to keep zooming to read it, you cant set the text size. It is honestly easier to just read the print version This is an embarrassing product when you compare it with the new yorker app also owned by conde nast

Ive tried 4 times to download the current edition and its so slow with such a large file size that its still been unsuccessful. Wish I could get my money back and definitely should have read the other reviews. Silly me - whod a thought that such a prominent and classy publication would fail so miserably on the digital front.

The app downloaded and installed perfectly. As a subscriber, i downloaded the Dec 11 issue with no issues. Maybe some people have no patience. I let it do its thing and it works great.

I CAN get the print subscription converted to my iPad, BUT, then, it has been nearly impossible to download the magazine it self completely. First, it is slow. And , I tried with three different Internet connections. REAL slow. Second, so far, it never downloads completely. As soon as you screen light turns off, it stops. THEN, it begins again from maybe 50 mb of a 499 mb download. No matter how far it got before. What pages it did download are gorgeous! What pages it did download

I have wasted over an hour and it still doesnt work. Also thinking of cancelling print subscription. Hard to believe they cant get this right.

I have subscription to the paper magazine and wanted to try the free access to the tablet edition. This is the second time I tried it and it is still buggy. After signing on, tried to download one of the magazine editions, but it got stuck during download and couldnt finish it. After that all I got was errors (file not found, couldnt connect to the Internet, etc.). The one I was trying to download was 500mb, which seems rather large.

Set up an account with email & password, but the system doesnt recognize it. Used my print subscription #. Seems Im not the only one with this problem. Wassup Conde Nast?

After accepting my payment for a one year subscription...the app wont install. Waiting to hear from the app store how to fix or get my money back. Very frustrating.

I was a bit reluctant to install based on all the bad reviews but I have to say this is the best magazine app Ive used yet. Much better than T+L IMHO. Its so incredibly content rich - each article has expanded views of its gorgeous photography and other content not available in the magazine itself, and its all built INTO the app as opposed to linking to their website in Safari. The navigation is also really cool with the sliding bar at the bottom of the screen. Pop up windows, short films, the list goes on. VERY COOL. Only downside, and this seems to be a problem with most magazine downloads, is that you have to sit on the download page for the download to happen - it wont download in background while using other apps. And CN Travelers download size is HUGE compared to other mags - the latest issue was almost 700MB! I assume this is because of the content richness I mentioned earlier. WELL worth it in any event. HIGHEST praise to CN Traveler!

Cannot access by iPad. Two contacts with customer service have been NO help. Even attempted to purchase again with no success.

Horrible app. I subscribed to the magazine just to have the iPad version available -- but this app does not work so I will be asking for my subscription money back. Too bad. Great magazine but sucky app -- I expected more from Conde Nast!

Purchased app but isnt on iPad. It says I have installed it so wont let me "reinstall"

Always says need to restart application. Have tried reinstalling it - nothing works. And this is on both an iPad 1 and the New iPad.

This app will not download the current issue of the magazine. I have a print subscription and have the latest issue. I would like to see this issue on my iPad before it goes out of print.

Worst app I have experienced. I have a magazine subscription but cannot get the app to work. I have reset password several times. Not worth any more time. I should have heeded the many that advised dumping this poorly written app.

This app is bugging, it keeps asking me about push notifications and because of that I cant buy any of the issues

This app doesnt work. Ive tried it numerous times using my subscriber ID and/or my name and address. Never been able to download an issue. Have even tried to contact subscriber services. Nada!
